We begin our final day of the 4 days itinerary tour from Marrakech to Fes to the north. First of all, after breakfast, we will be passing through the world’s largest palm grove, Tafilalet. Thousands of palm trees line the 20-kilometer path. This route brings us to the Ziz valley, where a river flows down from the high Atlas and irrigates the palm grove. We pause here to take in the beautiful view of the valley and the town of Aoufous from this high vantage point.
Later on, we will stop in Midelt. The latter is where you’ll have free time for lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon we continue our way to the Cedar forest. Here if we have luck, we’ll see some monkeys. Our next destination is Ifrane, situated on the northwestern at 1630 meters above the water level.
The city’s vast avenues, spotless urban planning, parks, green spaces, and architecture give it a Swiss feel. In Morocco, Ifrane feels out of place.
