Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech –High Atlas – Telaout – Kasbah ait ben haddou – Ouarzazate:
Our 5 days from Marrakech to Merzouga to Merzouga desert tour starts with a pick up from your Marrakech hotel and drives you to Ouarzazate via the High Atlas Mountains. On our way, we’ll pass by Tizi Ntichka port, our country’s highest point at 2.260m. We’ll pause at viewpoints along the way to take pictures of the Berber. villages and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
After that, we’ll take a small road to Telouat Kasbah. Following your visit to the kasbah, you will have free time to sample some local cuisine. In the afternoon, we’ll drive through the Ounila valley, passing small Berber villages and families living in adobe houses tucked away in the mountains, to Ait Ben Haddou’s ksar (fortified village), where we’ll visit the popular Kasbah.
In 1986, UNESCO designated the kasbah as a World Heritage Site. Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz, and others have all been filmed in this magnificent location. We’ll travel to Ouarzazate, also known as “The Gate of the Desert,” after visiting the kasbah. Dinner will be served at the hotel where we will be staying the night.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Small atlas – Daraa palmeri – Rissani – Merzouga:
After breakfast, we’ll travel to the Draa Valley, where you can see one of Morocco’s longest rivers. We stop along the way to take pictures and admire the magnificent kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the route, as well as the natural beauty of the Draa valley.
You’ll have some free time for lunch in Nkob or Alnif, and then we’ll drive for two hours to meet the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi. Powdery dunes abound in this desert. We’ll swap out our motorized transportation for an animal-drawn vehicle to travel deep into the desert.

Then we proceed along a road lined with various tourist-oriented kasbahs. After a few stops to take in the scenery along the Thousand Kasbahs Route.
